High School Internship Program
Chiropractic Assistant Internship
We are broadening our internship horizons and offering internship opportunities to students enrolled in Greenville County Schools, as well as Spartanburg District Five and Anderson County District One. An internship can be a great life experience, giving students a window into our industry and building valuable work experience.
Simply Southern Chiropractic Center’s (SSCC) high school internship program is a paid internship that gives high school students real-world, hands-on experience in the medical field. While participating in the program, interns will have the opportunity to interact with patients, learn marketable job skills, develop important life skills, assist medical professionals in caring for patients, and observe doctors as they provide high-quality chiropractic care. We are seeking student interns who are interested in potentially pursuing healthcare as a career. Following successful completion of the internship program, those who are interested may be considered for permanent employment with SSCC as chiropractic assistants. DESIRED SKILLS/COURSEWORK (but not required):
- Prior anatomy and/or physiology coursework
- Familiarity with Apple computers
REQUIREMENTS FOR EMPLOYMENT:
- Internship only available for juniors and seniors; must be at least 17 years of age to participate.
- Reliable transportation to and from office
- Willingness to learn, self-confidence, and a positive attitude
HOURS:
- Tuesdays & Thursdays 4:00 – 8:00 pm
- Saturdays 8:00 am – 2:00 pm
*Work schedule will align with students’ school schedules. Initial training takes place on Mondays for the first 6-8 weeks of internship, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
