Mary Frances Duncan, D.C.
Dr. Mary Frances Duncan is a native of Greer, South Carolina, and a Furman University alum, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. After receiving her degree, Dr. Duncan realized her true passion was for serving others in healthcare. Having gone to a chiropractor regularly while growing up, Dr. Duncan made the decision to spend her life helping patients lead healthier lives using a forward-thinking approach, just as her chiropractor had done for her. After her undergraduate studies at Furman, Dr. Duncan attended the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida, where she obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree.
Upon her return to the Upstate after receiving her doctorate degree, Dr. Duncan founded Simply Southern Chiropractic Center in 2015 to provide individuals in the greater Greenville area with premier chiropractic services and rehabilitative care. Dr. Duncan is well-versed in a variety of techniques and is eager to assist her patients as they achieve their best health yet!
With experience treating individuals of all different ages and backgrounds, Dr. Duncan is trained to provide multiple types of treatments to patients at Simply Southern Chiropractic Center. These treatments include hands-on adjustments of the spinal column, adjustments using an Activator, flexion distraction, Webster technique, sacro-occipital technique (SOT), instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), kinesiology taping, and cold laser therapy.
Dr. Duncan loves good food wherever she can find it, specifically from local farm-to-table restaurants. She loves attending church on Sundays, traveling, coffee shops, all things Furman, monograms, and Lilly Pulitzer. She also takes a lot of pride in being a South Carolinian, and most importantly she takes pride in being an American. Her favorite quote is by minister and theologian John Wesley:
“Do all the good you can. By all the means you can. In all the ways you can. In all the places you can. At all the times you can. To all the people you can. As long as you ever can.”

Thaddeus J. Modlin, D.C.
.Dr. Modlin always knew that a career in healthcare was in his future, but he wasn’t sure in what capacity. It wasn’t until he spent time in a chiropractic office as both a patient and then as an intern that he knew he had found his true calling. He was immediately intrigued by the natural model of healthcare that chiropractic care offered and noticed the difference that it made in the lives of the patients. His exposure to prenatal and pediatric chiropractic care near the end of his chiropractic education also introduced him to the concept of wellness care for the whole family. He truly believes that chiropractic care can help from birth until age 99!
Dr. Modlin graduated as valedictorian of his class from Life University in Atlanta. He is trained in a wide variety of techniques which include Thompson, Activator, manual adjusting, sacro-occipital technique (SOT), Network Spinal, and cranial techniques. Dr. Modlin is certified in the Webster technique and has a specialty pediatric certification by the American Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics (CACCP). He is an active member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA).
When he is not treating patients, Dr. Modlin enjoys spending time with his wife, Emily and two children, Avery and Jack. He also loves CrossFit, modern board games, disc golf, reading, Marvel movies, and almost any outdoor activity. Dr. Modlin and his family are actively involved in their church that they have attended since moving to Greenville in 2014.
