Discover True Wellness
We believe that you can experience better health and wellness through routine chiropractic care.
Our doctors are trained in a variety of advanced techniques to ensure the care you receive is appropriate to your condition and your body’s exact needs.

Chiropractic Care for the Entire Family
Chiropractic care to benefit the entire family! Adults, children and even newborns can receive enormous benefits from routine chiropractic adjustments, including aligning our bodies while providing relief from underlying stressors.

Our Services Aid in Recovery
Our bodies go through a lot of changes, whether it’s a sports injury, car accident, or even pregnancy.
Proper chiropractic care works with your body to naturally aid in recovery, stimulating proper function while decreasing pressure points and pain.

Manual Adjustments
A manual adjustment is the most common technique for chiropractic patients to align the bones back to their natural fit. Benefits include alleviating or eliminating pain or stiffness in the neck, back, joint, shoulders, or spine and giving joints full range of motion. Our doctors perform these adjustments with certified techniques, safety, and precision.

Rehabilitation Exercises
Our rehabilitation exercises and services help our patients to get back to their peak physical level. Our doctors retrain the affected body parts in a safe and methodical way. Regardless of the cause, our chiropractors are trained in rehabilitation exercises to ensure a safe recovery.

Intersegmental Traction
Intersegmental traction therapy loosens the back to regain flexibility within the spine while reducing postural stress. This therapy, also known as Roller Bed Therapy, is delivered using a specialized traction table aimed at the individual joints of the spine to stretch the joints and increase range of motion.

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization
Instrumental assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) is a treatment process that involves using specific stainless steel tools against the body in key soft tissue areas in order to allow the pressure and movement of the device to treat the area, promoting inflammatory healing and increasing localized blood flow.

Electrical Stimulation Therapy
One of our advanced treatment methods for pain management includes electrotherapy, a staple to aid in pain management, rehabilitation and nerve stimulation. When electrodes stimulate the nerves and cells in a region, they diminish feelings of pain or discomfort, ignite the body’s endorphins, help to increase blood flow to that area and promote healing.

Flexion / Distraction Adjustments
Flexion/distraction adjustments relieve back pain and discomfort when patients don’t seem to improve with other treatments. Using a combination of force applied by the chiropractor and movement from our specialized treatment table, this type of therapy can help improve the motion of the spine and alleviate back pain.

Kinesiology Taping
Kinesiology taping is a simple and effective way to relieve pain and discomfort from everyday life. Reflecting the same thickness and elasticity as skin, this treatment helps with muscle weakness, strains, ligament sprains, poor mobility and has continued to grow in popularity among those suffering from sports-related injuries or musculoskeletal discomfort.

Class IV Therapeutic Laser
Laser Therapy, also called Photobiomodulation, is a technique that uses specific frequencies of light to combat swelling, increase circulation in the treated areas, and help relieve different muscle pains..
Our Class IV Therapeutic Laser delivers higher-powered infrared energy to penetrate deeper into targeted areas. This quick treatment can last up to 15 minutes, depending on the size of the area, to give you the best possible results.

Activator Adjustments
Spinal manipulation can be performed by hand by applying pressure or with the help of an Activator adjustment instrument.
This is a hand- held, spring loaded mechanical instrument which allows the chiropractor to apply quick, low amplitude thrusts to the affected areas. The force applied is controlled and localized. Benefits include improved posture, pain relief, sleep recovery aid and more.

Therapeutic Ultrasound
Therapeutic ultrasound is beneficial for muscle, tendon, and soft tissue injuries. Ultrasound therapy emits high-frequency sound waves that create a small amount of heat and draw blood to an injured area while breaking up scar tissue. The increased blood flow promotes healing in an injured area.

Pediatric Adjustment
Adults are not the only patients in need of chiropractic care! In fact, spinal health is one of the most essential factors of an infant’s health. We use soft pressure when performing spinal adjustments on infants and young children. These small, painless adjustments help encourage a child’s body to grow properly with correct spinal alignment as well as improve sleep, boost the immune system, and boost brain development.

Cervical Traction
This service is a popular treatment for neck pain and discomfort. Cervical traction gently pulls the head away from the neck to create space and eliminate compression on the spine. Cervical traction is great for patients suffering from degenerative disc disease or osteoarthritis in the neck, torticollis, neck tension and tightness, as well as sprains and strains from a car accident or traumatic injury.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is chiropractic care?
Chiropractic care is a type of treatment based on chiropractic, a discipline focused on the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, with particular emphasis on the spine and its relationship to the nervous system.1 Chiropractic care most commonly consists of manual and instrument-assisted techniques, including spinal manipulation (known as “adjustments”), to restore joint mobility, reduce pain, and support the body’s overall function. At Simply Southern, we offer non-surgical treatment of many different musculoskeletal conditions. We use manual and instrument-assisted techniques to restore joint mobility, reduce pain, and support the body’s overall function.
What conditions can chiropractic treatment help with?
Chiropractic treatment is commonly sought for neck and back pain, joint stiffness, headaches, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal discomfort resulting in reduced mobility or range of motion. We assess each patient’s needs and preferences, and use the information to construct an individualized treatment plan based on the patient’s diagnosis, age, and treatment goals.
What techniques do Simply Southern chiropractors use?
Our doctors are trained in a variety of chiropractic techniques, including activator methods, the Cox flexion-distraction technique, the Thompson drop-table technique, and motion palpation.
What is the difference between a manual adjustment and an activator adjustment?
A manual adjustment—also called “spinal manipulation”—is performed by hand, using a controlled, directed force applied to a spinal joint. It is the most widely used chiropractic technique and is supported by a substantial body of clinical research, including reviews showing that spinal manipulative therapy can produce significant improvements in pain and function for chronic low back pain compared with other conservative interventions.2 An activator adjustment uses a hand-held, spring-loaded instrument to deliver a lower-force, low-amplitude thrust to a specific spinal segment. Both fall within the broader category of spinal manipulative therapy, and the choice between them depends on the patient’s condition and comfort preference.
Do you offer kinesiology taping?
Yes, Simply Southern regularly performs kinesiology taping on patients with muscle weakness or strain, ligament sprains, joint instability, and sports-related or repetitive-use injuries. This involves applying an elastic, skin-like adhesive tape to the body in specific patterns to support muscles and joints, without restricting range of motion. Clinical studies have found measurable improvements in pain, pressure pain threshold, and joint position sense in patients with mechanical neck pain and myofascial pain syndrome.3Some of our providers at Simply Southern Chiropractic Center have obtained Functional Movement Techniques (FMT) certifications from RockTape, the preeminent provider of kinesiology tape. These certifications demonstrate a knowledge of how kinesiology tape helps with pain relief, swelling control, and improving movement.
What is Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)?
IASTM is a manual therapy technique in which a chiropractor uses specialized stainless steel instruments to apply controlled pressure to soft tissue, including muscle, tendon, and fascia. One commonly known example of IASTM used by some chiropractors is known as the Graston technique. The pressure is intended to mobilize scar tissue and myofascial adhesions and to stimulate localized blood flow. Studies show that it can reduce patient-reported pain and improve function in patients with musculoskeletal disorders.3 It is commonly used for myofascial restriction and soft tissue adhesions, as well as chronic muscle tightness and trigger points.
Does a chiropractic adjustment hurt?
Chiropractic adjustments are not painful. Patients may hear an audible release of gas from the joint, sometimes called a “pop,” during a manual adjustment, and some may feel mild, temporary soreness afterward, similar to the sensation following moderate exercise. Also, if a patient has painful range of motion prior to an adjustment, they may feel some pain during the adjustment as well. However, chiropractic adjustments on their own do not cause pain when properly performed.
Which Simply Southern Chiropractic Center location should I visit?
Simply Southern Chiropractic Center operates two Upstate South Carolina offices: one in Greenville, located at 922 North Church Street, and one in Greer, located at 1001 West Wade Hampton Boulevard. Patients may choose whichever office is more convenient, as both locations offer the full range of chiropractic services described on this page. In addition to Greenville and Greer, we regularly see patients from Taylors, Duncan, Lyman, Wellford, Wade Hampton, Blue Ridge, Travelers Rest, Simpsonville, and Mauldin.
Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor at Simply Southern Chiropractic Center?
No, you do not need a referral. Unlike physical therapists or many other providers, you can make an appointment directly with chiropractors without obtaining a referral from a primary care physician. Contact us directly with questions about your specific health or recovery goals or to make an appointment.
