Five years ago, on March 19th, 2020, Simply Southern Chiropractic Center opened the doors of our brand-new clinic in Dr. Duncan’s hometown of Greer, South Carolina. What should have been a week of ribbon cuttings and celebration turned into something quite different — during the same week, the world shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

And yet, five years later, our Greer clinic is thriving.

This milestone means so much more than just another year in business. It’s a testament to the power of community, the resilience of small businesses, and the commitment we’ve always had to serve the people of Greer and greater Greenville County with the highest quality chiropractic care and customer service.

From Dream to Reality: Building a New Chiropractic Clinic

The idea for the Greer clinic started taking shape in the spring of 2019. Our original location in downtown Greenville had been open for several years and was at capacity — limited parking, cramped treatment rooms, and a growing waitlist of patients needing care. Many of those patients were already commuting from Greer just to see Dr. Duncan, who was born and raised in the area.

Opening a second location in Greer made perfect sense. It was a chance to expand our services and bring care closer to home for many of our patients. We found the perfect building and poured ourselves into a major renovation project — transforming the space over the course of nine months with over a million dollars in upgrades. The Greer location became three times the size of our Greenville office, with more treatment rooms, better parking, and the opportunity to design every square inch with our patients’ comfort in mind.

Then came March 2020.

Launching During a Global Pandemic

Opening a new clinic is always a big undertaking — but opening one during the first week of a global pandemic? That’s a story for the books.

As COVID-19 swept the globe, we had to immediately scale back our operations. Patient visits were significantly reduced, safety protocols were ramped up, and uncertainty was the name of the game. Thankfully, chiropractic care was deemed essential in South Carolina, allowing us to keep our doors open and continue serving those who needed us most.

It wasn’t easy. But we were determined to make it work.

By summer, things began to shift. Patients who had delayed care started coming back, and the Greer community showed up in full support. We were finally able to see the vision come to life — caring for the people of Greer in a beautiful space designed for healing, movement, and wellness.

Rooted in Greer, Growing Together

Five years later, we’re proud to say that the Greer clinic has become a cornerstone of Simply Southern Chiropractic Center. We’ve treated countless patients — many of whom work at the local BMW plant — and built strong relationships with local families who trust us with their health.

Even though our Greenville and Greer offices are just 10 miles apart, they serve distinctly different communities. That’s part of what makes this work so rewarding: we get to show up in meaningful ways for people from all walks of life across the Upstate area.

For Dr. Duncan, opening the Greer location was more than a business decision — it was a homecoming. Being able to provide chiropractic care in her hometown, to friends and neighbors she’s known for years, has been one of the proudest moments of her career.

As Greer continues to grow, we’re growing too. With two thriving locations and a passionate team of chiropractors and staff, we’re already thinking ahead — perhaps even to a third clinic in the future. But no matter how much we grow, our mission remains the same: to deliver compassionate, personalized chiropractic care that helps our patients feel their best.
